Best teaching methods shared by teachers

In 2020, the Tempus Public Foundation has launched a call for teachers to publish their methodological ideas in the digital methodology repository, so that these ideas would be evaluated by experts and the best ones would be awarded prizes, published, and their creators have the opportunity to participate in conferences.

Not surprisingly, the main theme for the year of transition to online education was "Supporting autonomous learning in an online learning environment".

Creative teachers uploaded nearly 80 methodological ideas. This is roughly 50% more than in previous years.

The numbers not only show how much good ideas have been generated by online education, but also that teachers feel a stronger motivation to share their work with colleagues.

This year, most of the awards were for ideas related to Hungarian language and literature, but there was also some for biology lessons using augmented reality.

One of the best shared methods of 2020 was Zsuzsa Csaja's educational project "I can't go anywhere, so I'll go everywhere — Travel with Kayla", which introduces the natural values of Hungary to students through a virtual journey and class excursion.
